Karachi Kings have signed South Africa’s experienced top-order batter Reeza Hendricks as a replacement for West Indies opener Johnson Charles ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 season. Charles will miss the tournament due to personal reasons, prompting the franchise to bring in Hendricks as a late addition to their squad.

This marks Hendricks’ second appearance in the PSL, having previously played for Multan Sultans in 2024. During that season, he impressed with 304 runs in eight innings, maintaining an average of 43.42 and a strike rate of 134.51. Known for his consistency at the top, Hendricks brings significant T20 experience, with 296 matches, 64 half-centuries, and five centuries to his name.

The addition of Hendricks further strengthens Karachi Kings’ overseas contingent, which already includes big names like David Warner, Adam Zampa, Moeen Ali, and UAE international Muhammad Waseem. His presence is expected to provide stability and firepower to the batting lineup.

Karachi Kings will be aiming to build on their strong performance from last season, where they finished third and reached the playoffs for the first time since 2021. With a balanced squad and experienced international players, the team looks well-prepared for a competitive campaign.

The Kings will kick off their PSL 2026 journey against Quetta Gladiators on March 27, in what promises to be an exciting opening clash of the season.
