Work permit still pending for some of his staff members and then it will be all sealed,” read a statement on Fabrizio Romano’s X handle.
Slot will replace the entire backroom staff and bring his own set of coaches from the previous club Feyenoord. The terms of the deal are not yet disclosed, but Slot will sign a multi-year contract to take charge of the side.
Meanwhile, current boss Klopp will bid farewell on Sunday (May 19) when Liverpool host Wolves at Anfield. Klopp will end his nearly nine-year stay at the club where he won all the domestic and European honours with the side. He took charge of the Liverpool side in October 2015 when Brendon Rodgers was sacked by the Reds.
Klopp won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2019 and followed that with a Premier League title in 2020 along with the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup. He won the missing piece in the puzzle and completed the set with FA Cup and League Cup wins.
