Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant continued his excellent return to competitive cricket with a sublime fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on April 3. It was Pant’s second half-century on the trot during which he also hit a trademark no-look six.
Pant hit Venkatesh Iyer for four fours and and two sixes in the 12th over of the chase, taking 28 runs off the over. For them, it all started at the top with Sunil Narine once again batting explosively after opening the batting. Narine scored a belligerent 85 off just 39 ball, hitting seven four and sixes each. Narine’s opening partner Phil Salt although was dismissed early, scoring 18 off 12.
KKR sent debutant Angkrish Raghuvanshi to replace Salt and the rookie blazed his way to 54 off just 27 balls. Towards the end, Andre Russell and Rinku Singh also teed off, scoring 41 off 19 and 26 in eight ball, respectively.
