India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant almost injured all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the Super 8 clash against Australia on Monday (June 24). Pandya, however, escaped unhurt but showed his frustration very clearly.

The wicketkeeper then tried to run Starc out with a fast throw despite the batter being inside the crease.

The fast throw went straight to Pandya who was not happy with this. Rohit Sharma also threw his hands in air in frustration.
Earlier in the match, Pant had missed a simple catch to which Rohit had showed his anger towards him without holding back.
It happened in the second over of the Aussie innings when Australia skipper Mitchell Marsh fended a bouncer by Jasprit Bumrah awkwardly to leg gully position. Pant initially went after the ball but stopped mid-way and the ball dropped on the ground.
Rohit was clearly not happy with this effort and let his frustration known immediately.
As for result, India beat Australia by 24 runs in Super 8 clash on Monday (June 24) to book a place in the semi-final.
For India, Arshdeep was the pick of the bowlers with 3/37 in four overs but it was Kuldeep’s 2/24 which made the difference. Apart from them, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel also took one wicket each a Australia failed to chase 206.
India’s innings was set up by Rohit Sharma’s belligerent 92 off 41 during which he hit record eight sixes as well. Rohit also became the first batter to hit 200 sixes in T20Is.
India will now play against England in the second semi-final in a rematch of the 2022 T20 World Cup’s semi rematch. India had lost that match by 10 wickets and England went on to win the whole thing.
