Vettori predicts high-scoring affair

“It has been a good away trip so far. The boys have had a chance to rest before games build up slowly and get ready for a big one. I think our batting group understands the nature of some surfaces where Chinnaswamy was one of those (high-scoring) games, where we had to go very aggressive, and the fact that Travis (Head) played so well and the hundred allowed (Abdul) Samad and (Heinrich) Klaasen to complement him,” Daniel Vettori said speaking during the build-up to the match.

Delhi Capitals come into the contest with momentum on their side having registered back-to-back wins in the IPL. They beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on their home turf before following that with a win against Gujarat Titans (GT) in a one-sided contest.

Pant and Co currently sit sixth in the table with six points in seven matches. They will look to put a run of wins in the business end of the season and try to book a place in the Playoffs round. Rishabh Pant has been also in good touch having scored 210 runs in the seven matches so far in the IPL 2024. He will be eager to make a mark in the IPL to attract the attention of the Indian team selectors.
