After splashing cash at the IPL auctions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will look to make winning start to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 campaign on Saturday (Mar 23). Mitchell Starc ($2.5 million) and Pat Cummins ($3 million) the two most expensive players in the history of the IPL will go head-to-head at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Both SRH and KKR had a disappointing outing in IPL 2023 and will look to put behind their woes to start on a winning note.

KKR will be back with a winning mojo having missed Shreyas Iyer in the IPL 2023 while the addition of Starc should be the perfect blend the franchise will look at. With the addition of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and the inclusion of season campaigners like Andre Russell and Sunil Narine KKR have a good chance to claim two points on Saturday.
