As for the match, Jake Fraser-McGurk’s 20-ball 50 and Abhishek Porel‘s 36-ball 65 helped DC post 221/8 in 20 overs. Fraser-McGurk smashed Rajasthan Royals’  Avesh Khan for 28 runs in an over to bring up his fifty inside the powerplay.

The dashing opener from Australia, however, got out in the very next over when he chipped a full toss ball Ravi Ashwin towards the extra cover region. After Fraser-McGurk got out, his opening partner Abhishek Porel kept the innings going.

By the time Porel got out DC had scored 144 runs in 12.4 overs. After Porel, Rishabh Pant (15 off 13), Gulbadin Naib (19 off 15) and Tristian Stubbs took DC past 200.

It was, however, Stubbs’ 20-ball 41 runs innings which ensured the Capitals have a good score to bowl at. For Royals, Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/28 in four overs. Apart from him, Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal took one wicket each.
