With Haris Rauf returning from injury, Pakistan released seamer Hasan Ali from the squad, hinting at the possible pace attack for the 20-team tournament starting June 2 in the Caribbean and the USA. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Abbas Afridi or Amir will be the seamers for the marquee tournament.
Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan and Abrar Ahmed will make up for the spin trio in the side, while star T20I batter Mohammad Rizwan and Azam Khan will be the keepers. Babar, Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman will be the batters, whereas, Iftikhar Ahmed and Agha Salman tick the all-rounders category.

After drawing the five-match T20I series (2-2) against New Zealand at home, Pakistan beat Ireland across three matches, gaining momentum heading into the England series. Although the first game got washed out, Pakistan still has three matches to play and figure out their best playing XI before the T20 World Cup begins.
At the marquee event, Pakistan is placed in Group A alongside arch-rivals India, co-hosts USA, Canada and Ireland.
Pakistan will open their campaign against the USA on June 6 in Dallas before facing India in the clash of the tournament in New York on Sunday (June 9).
