Meanwhile, post the match, Raghuvanshi took to social media to troll his teammate Phil Salt, who, as it turns out, is a Manchester City supporter — the cross-city rivals of United.
“Manc is red saltyy,” wrote Raghuvanshi, sharing a congratulatory story put up by the English batter to laud the teenager.
Quizzed about his innings during the mid-game show, an excited-looking Raghuvanshi said the ‘amount of practice’ he had done in the last few weeks, finally came to fruition.
“When I went into bat, it was just about watching the ball, that’s it. I think the amount of practice in the last few weeks and I backed myself,” Raghuvanshi told Harsha Bhogle.
KKR vs DC
DC suffered a humbling as the two-time champions, KKR, won the match and climbed to the top of the points table, having won all three matches so far,
Riding on lethal ball-striking from Sunil Narine, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Andre Russell, KKR posted 272 runs on board – the second-highest total in the tournament history.
Chasing the target, DC never looked in the game and lost four wickets within the powerplay. If it wasn’t for Pant’s enterprising 55-run knock, the deficit could have been greater and might have done irreparable damage to the net run rate.
