Pant’s legacy at DC

Pant joined DC in 2016 and has been a one-club man having played all his IPL cricket with the Delhi-based side. He was part of the DC side that finished runners-up in the IPL 2020 and was handed the captaincy in 2021. However, an unfortunate car accident ruled him out of the IPL 2023 and only returned to competitive cricket on Saturday against Punjab Kings.

Delhi Capitals will search for the first win of the IPL 2024 season having lost to Punjab Kings in the opening match of the season. They were beaten by four wickets in Mullanpur on Saturday with Delhi failing to capitalise on a bright start.

At the time of writing, RR were 32/2 after the powerplay having lost both Sanju Samson (15) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (5).
