Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are ready to host Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their second game of IPL 2024 on Monday (March 25). Overseas buy captain Faf du Plessis and Cameron Green are excited to bat on the bouncy yet batting-friendly track at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, with the pair sharing eagerness for the evening game starting at 7:30 PM IST.

Reflecting on their first-game defeat, and what he looks ahead of RCB’s second IPL 2024 game veteran Faf said, “Obviously, the first game was at the Chennai, and there was a big Chennai crowd. Looking forward to bat here again, it’s a great place to bat and I think the boys are very keen to start.”

Having toured India before and played in the IPL last season as well, RCB’s star all-rounder Cameron Green also thinks along similar lines, saying the wicket looks pretty for batting and with the outfield being quick, everyone would enjoy playing at this venue.
“It’s a beautiful batting wicket; the outfield is quick. Obviously, this will be my first time experiencing as an RCB player, and I am very excited. There’s always screaming and shoutouts, looking forward to it,” Green said.
RCB ready to open account in IPL 2024
Keeper-batter Anuj Rawat, who starred with the bat in hand against CSK, hitting 48, said, “We started a bit off but definitely but after we did gel up as a team really well, and we are looking forward to this game against Punjab.”
Meanwhile, Rajat Patidar, returning to the competition after missing the last season, said he enjoys playing in front of the loyal fans. He added that playing under experienced cricketers will be a good learning.
“I am eager to play in front of loyal fans, so keep supporting and keep loving. It’s a privilege that you play under the most experienced players. They have played a long cricket in their country. It will be a good learning for me to play under them,” he said.
In 31 matches played between both teams, Punjab has won 17 games, while RCB walked out as winners in the remaining 14 ties.
