Both high-stakes matches will be played at The Oval, with the winners advancing to the tournament final.
Australia secured their place at the top of Group 1 after defeating India by five wickets in the final group-stage fixture at Lord’s on Sunday. The victory not only completed Australia’s unbeaten run in the league stage but also ended India’s campaign and confirmed South Africa’s qualification for the semi-finals.
Heading into the match, Australia were already in a strong position with eight points and a healthy net run rate, while India and South Africa were tied on six points. India needed a victory to qualify regardless of the winning margin. Batting first, India posted a competitive 170/4, but Australia’s experienced batting line-up chased down the target with an over to spare, maintaining their perfect record in the tournament.
Group 2 qualification had already been decided a day earlier. Despite suffering a surprise defeat to Ireland earlier in the competition, West Indies secured their place in the last four thanks to a superior net run rate after England defeated defending champions New Zealand in the final group-stage encounter.
England also entered the semi-finals with an unbeaten record, winning all five of their group-stage matches to finish comfortably at the top of Group 2.
With four of the world’s strongest women’s cricket teams remaining, fans can expect two thrilling semi-finals as Australia, West Indies, England, and South Africa battle for a place in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Final.
