The toss once again proved crucial in a night game at the Wankhede Stadium, with Mumbai Indians opting to chase after winning it against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their IPL encounter.

Mumbai Indians made two significant changes to their playing XI, welcoming back Mitchell Santner, who replaced AM Ghazanfar. They also included leg-spinner Mayank Markande in place of Deepak Chahar, strengthening their bowling attack for the high-scoring venue.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who failed to defend a 200-plus total in their previous outing, would have preferred to chase as well. However, they will take confidence from facing a relatively balanced Mumbai batting line-up compared to the explosive duo of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal in their last match.

RCB made a notable change by leaving out Josh Hazlewood, who conceded 44 runs in his four overs in the opening game of the season. He has been replaced by Jacob Duffy. Additionally, Abhinandan Singh was not included in the substitutes list, hinting that either Mangesh Yadav or Rasikh Dar could be used as an Impact Player later in the match.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru XI:
