Match 23 of the ICC ODI World Cup will see a formidable South Africa take on Bangladesh at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Tuesday (Oct 24). They have three big wins from four encounters and will be favourites heading into this game versus the Bangla Tigers.

For the Proteas, they have been on a roll except in the game where the Dutch. Their batting has been doing the bulk of the work whereas bowlers also combined to beat England by 229 runs. Their Net Run Rate (NRR) is the best among all the ten teams, +2.212, and will look to further dent Bangladesh’s run. The Asian side have lost three out of four and are languishing at the seventh spot with dire need of a revamp.

Pitch conditions and result prediction: Another belter of a surface expected at the Wankhede Stadium with hot and humid weather to challenge both the camps, especially the South Africans. It will be interesting to see what happens at the toss. Dew and humidity factor will be considered by both teams. With three big upsets in this World Cup already, one cannot rule out Bangladesh’s win but given how their batting and bowling has been ordinary, it seems highly unlikely for them to continue the trend of upsets.
